Balancing stakeholder interests and public policy

Guest: Christine Kennedy (president of an LNG company)

Balancing acts are nothing new to Christine Kennedy. As president of Woodfibre LNG, which is essentially a giant construction project, she has to balance relations with First Nations, local residents, and project stakeholders. “Careers like mine tend to go in and out of a public policy orbit,” she says. This helps with gaining the skills needed to find the path through complex regulatory environments, making sure that everyone’s interests are addressed and taken care of as much as possible.
