The journalistic passion that saved a TV station

Guest: Rob Germain (CEO, CHEK-TV)

How do you become the guy who runs an independent television station? Rob Germain is the perfect example of a person who starts his career in one place and then grows into another position – that you can’t go to school to learn it.

For Rob, he started as a storyteller turned journalist. Little did he know the changing landscape of television in Canada would thrust him into an epic battle to save the television newsroom that employed him. That effort to save the station provided him with the insights and experience he required to take on the job of running the very station he played a pivotal role in saving.
